Reprint of original book by major and often controversial English astronomer Sir Norman Lockyer. Its aim, to propose the use of astronomy in determining the chronology of history. In particular, he argued the orientation of the pyramids had astronomical reasons. This book was not taken seriously by Egyptologists of the time.
